When you gander at its face, you will see one of the most striking open heart implementations that has ever graced a timekeeping device! And that’s not all. The circumference of the dial features a stunning mother-of-pearl ring which has been recessed into the dial and it really pops! The elegant applied Roman numerals are an exquisite complement to The Emperor. Named The Emperor for its “open heart” exhibition in homage to the famous fable of The Emperor and the Nightingale, this magnificent timepiece lives up to its title. The fable is a wonderful story in which the beautiful voice of a singing bird nurses the Emperors failing heart back to health. Once saved by the nightingale, the Emperor’s heart was indeed transformed. Once a self-centered and cold hearted ruler, the Emperor became altruistic and pleasurable with a beautiful and tender heart which all those in his kingdom could easily see!
